The launch APC PowerChute™ Serial Shutdown for APC Smart-UPS™ Back-UPS™ and Easy UPS brings standardisation to APC’s Shutdown Software across all models of single phase UPS.
PowerChute Serial Shutdown (PCSS) will introduce a single PowerChute agent supporting Back-UPS, Smart-UPS, and Easy UPS Online for a modern, secure user experience.
What is PowerChute Serial Shutdown (PCSS)?
PowerChute Serial Shutdown provides UPS monitoring and graceful shutdown for Desktops, servers, and workstations running Windows and Linux. It supports all APC Smart-UPS (3kVA & lesser), Back-UPS, and Easy UPS Online via a serial or USB cable connection.
Why should someone upgrade to PowerChute Serial Shutdown (PCSS)?
With the previous PowerChute Business and Personal Edition and the Easy UPS Online Monitoring Software, the following capabilities were unavailable, upgrading to PCSS will unlock these capabilities:
